Ward Centers Festival of Giving

Ward Centers presents its annual "Festival of Giving" on November 4 through 6, 2011, and non-profit organizations are invited to sell $10 tickets for the event, keeping 100% of the ticket sales. The Hawaii Cat Foundation is participating at this event. Tickets entitle shoppers to exclusive discounts and special offers at over 90 participating shops and restaurants throughout Ward Centers. Ticket holders also receive free gift-wrapping services, enter-to-win shopping sprees, free gift with qualifying purchases, spin on the prize wheel, and other festivities.

HCF participating in Give Aloha campaign

We are participating in Foodland's Give Aloha fundraising campaign for 2011 during the month of September. This is a terrific opportunity to help the Hawaii Cat Foundation. Here is information from the Give Aloha website:

Give Aloha is an annual program through which Foodland directs its charitable giving to the organizations that are important to its customers. All Hawaii 501 (c)(3) organizations are invited to participate each year. During September, Maika`i customers are invited to make a donation of up to $249 (per person, per organization) at checkout to their favorite non-profit organization registered in Give Aloha. Foodland matches a portion of each donation. This year, Foodland and the Western Union Foundation will match each donation up to a total of $300,000 for all organizations combined. Since the program began in 1999, a total of more than $15 million has been raised for the community.

Volunteers and salaried kennel staff needed

HCF is currently accepting resumes for part time volunteers and salaried kennel cleaning staff. Candidates must love cats, be friendly team member, hard working, honest, and dependable. Dunk-a-Doc-Splash-a-Staff Fundraiser

A day of fun for the entire family! Bring your dirty dogs for a pampering shampoo, and "dunk a doc" while you are there! Prizes, and goodies galore. All funds raised at the event will be donated to help our cats at HCF and also service dogs at Hawaii FiDo. So join us for an afternoon of fun on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Animal Clinic of Honolulu, 1048 Koko Head Ave. Honolulu, HI 98616.

"Cutie slipped outdoors in the Keolu Hills neighborhood June 20th, 2011. She is a small-medium size gray and black tabby. She is spayed. She is very friendly, but may be hiding because she is not familiar with being outdoors. Please help us find Cutie! If seen, please call (808) 688-8822 asap. Thank you!"
